  • Phillips Named USA South Decade Athlete of the Week

    Meredith College volleyball senior Lauren Phillips was named USA South Decade Athlete of the Week* Monday afternoon. A libero/defensive specialist for the Avenging Angels, Phillips earned the league's 2019 Volleyball Libero of the Year honor last fall.

    With the safety of student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, and other athletics staff at the forefront of deliberations, the final decision required creative thinking to offer Meredith student-athletes some form of athletic experience this semester.
  • USA South/Meredith Postpone Fall Sports Competition

    the USA South President's Council ultimately voted unanimously to postpone fall sports competition. With the safety of student-athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, and other athletics staff at the forefront, the fall sports of volleyball, soccer, cross country, and football will shift to spring 2021.
  • Volleyball Earns Team Academic Honor
    July 21, 2020
    The U.S Marine Corp and American Volleyball Coaches Association announced this week that 1,313 volleyball teams earned the 2019-2020 USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award. Meredith College received the honor for the fourth consecutive year.
  • Corey Nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year Honor

    NCAA member schools nominated a record 605 NCAA female student-athletes for the 2020 NCAA Woman of the Year Award. Meredith College four-year volleyball standout Caroline Corey was among the 220 Division III nominees.
