Raleigh, N.C. -- During the months of April and May, Meredith College athletics will highlight the senior student-athletes who will miss their much deserved Senior Day this spring.

Alexandra Cheney

A Rocky Mount, N.C., native, Alexandra Cheney played three seasons for the Avenging Angels tennis team. She will graduate from Meredith with a bachelor's in mass communication and plans to pursue a career in sports broadcasting.

During her collegiate tennis career, Alexandra amassed an 18-16 overall record in singles play, moving from court six as a rookie to no. 3 this spring. Her 13-20 overall record in doubles play includes time on courts two and three.

In 2018 Alexandra posted the team's best overall singles record at 10-8 with a 6-2 USA South tally and earned the Meredith tennis Impact Award for her efforts.
