Jennifer Mackaman - Senior Day Series

Jennifer Mackaman - Senior Day Series

Raleigh, N.C. -- During the months of April and May, Meredith College athletics will highlight the senior student-athletes who will miss their much deserved Senior Day this spring.

Jennifer Mackaman

A Shelby, N.C., native and member of Meredith's first-ever varsity golf team, Jennifer Mackaman transferred to Meredith two years ago to complete her history degree. After earning her bachelor's, she plans to return home to teach high school history and, of course, play more golf. Long-term, Jennifer would like to pursue a master's degree and move into school administration.

Jennifer has a history in youth ministries and will continue to advocate for young people in the church. While at Meredith, she participated in Young Life, the Lutheran Campus Ministry, MC Educators, and the college ministry at a Raleigh-area Church. She also worked in Meredith's Office of Student Leadership and Service for three semesters.

At last week's 2020 Halo Awards, Jennifer earned the Scholar-Athlete award. She is also a member of the Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education.

Favorite Meredith Golf moment: shooting my best ever score at our tournament at Chesapeake Bay Country Club in Maryland...I took the riskier shot and landed dead center of the [18th] green, about 10 feet from the hole shooting for par.
