The USA South Conference awarded sixty-two Meredith College Avenging Angels All-Academic honors as announced Wednesday from the league office. Twenty-seven student-athletes received a notation of With Distinction for demonstrating a exceptional academic success, more than double the number since the conference enhanced the award in 2018.

The Meredith College golf team wrapped up a two-round tournament at Scotch Meadows Country Club Monday afternoon hosted by St. Andrews University. Led by Allyson Nowell, who finished 18th overall, the Avenging Angels placed fourth on the par-72, 6,112-yard course.
Meredith College has announced plans to add two new sports, bringing the Avenging Angels to ten sports. The most immediate addition shifts the two-year club golf program to varsity status beginning this fall. In Fall 2020, Meredith will add field hockey to the atheltics lineup.
