MONTREAT, N.C. -- The NAIA's Montreat Cavaliers notched eight three-pointers to down Meredith College 68-58 in Thursday afternoon's women's basketball action. Kimberly Schuh scored 22 points on eight-of-eight from the floor to lead MCBB.
Meredith opened the day with a four-point advantage at the end of the first quarter, but the Cavs continued to put up threes during the second to enter the half in the lead by four.
The Cavaliers won the rebound effort through the final 20 minutes to help drive home their eighth win on the season.
Kate Perko finished with 16 points, six rebounds, and Madison Gladwell notched a season-high 13 with a pair of steals and three assists. Daia Dawkins dished out three assists with two steals, hitting one three-pointer, and Zaina Hook entered from the bench to score four with two assists, two rebounds, and a pair of steals. Mikayla Thompson earned her first career start today, pulling down a pair of rebounds in the loss.
Montreat's Taylor Cullen and Jessyka Leak scored six of the Cavaliers' three-pointers on the day.
