Kelsey Mabe - Senior Day Series

Raleigh, N.C. -- During the month of April, Meredith College athletics will highlight the senior student-athletes who will miss their much deserved Senior Day this spring.

Kelsey Mabe

A Rockingham, N.C., native and four-year student-athlete, Kelsey Mabe will leave her mark on the Meredith softball program when she graduates. A dynamic short stop who left little for room batters on the left side of the field, Kelsey tied the MCSB all-time record with 274 assists and ranks second with 18 double plays turned.

Offensively, Kelsey ranks second in stolen bases and second in triples and was on track to set new program records in both statistical categories this spring. She ranks fourth with 89 runs scored and 141 hits, and sits in eighth with a .349 career batting average. In 2018, Kelsey set the second-best single season record scoring 36 runs for the Avenging Angels.

Her career is peppered with top-tier season statistics on offense and defense. She was named to the USA South All-East team in 2018 with 52 hits, 15 runs batted in, and 17 stolen bases, to go along with the 36 runs scored. In 2017, Kelsey helped the Avenging Angels to a program-first USA South East Division Regular Season title with a record 28 overall wins.
