    Virginia Wesleyan held off a strong Meredith College softball team to claim a pair of wins in Sunday's non-conference doubleheader. Head Coach Kim Scavone placed three rookie pitchers on the front line, alongside returning sophomore Sarah Gundlach, to face off with the nationally ranked Marlins.

    As part of the USA South's Cans Across the Conference competition, the Meredith College Avenging Angels collected 1,150 non-perishable food items and donated to the Raleigh Rescue Mission. With 18 member institutions, the league presented 69,387 items to local organizations across the wide footprint of the conference.

  • Meredith College to Add Two New Sports

    Meredith College has announced plans to add two new sports, bringing the Avenging Angels to ten sports. The most immediate addition shifts the two-year club golf program to varsity status beginning this fall. In Fall 2020, Meredith will add field hockey to the atheltics lineup.
