RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Meredith College Annual Golf Classic has been postponed because of continued restrictions forced by the coronavirus health crisis.
Planned for late April, the 22nd Annual Golf Classic is now slated for Monday, Sept. 21, at Wildwood Green Golf Club. Earlier this week the Carolinas Golf Association suspended all golf events through mid-May. Meredith's spring semester resumed March 23 but all classes moved to an online format. While the college remains open and certain essential staff and administrators may continue working on campus, most will be working remotely.
With plans to launch a new online auction this spring to enhance the athletics fundraising event, golf committee members agreed to postpone the launch until fall as well.
The college remains steadfast in its efforts to provide a strong education for all students, and we appreciate your continued support of the Avenging Angels. Please check back later for links to register as a golfer or sponsor and be on the lookout for details of the online auction.
